Week 6

With these pictures I was hoping to express more mood, and not just a portrait of an animal.

  1. Ana,
I like that you are including space in your images. I would make sure your camera is focusing on the correct layer of space. In one of your orchard images, the dog is blurry while the orchard is in focus. You also might want to try the pet or sport scene setting on your camera to avoid blur when your subject moves. I think you need to work on communicating anxiety and calm in one image or do a dyptich with opposite moods on each side. Here is a link to work by a student who explored anxiety through the use of repetition and disorienting eye levels: https://skydrive.live.com/redir.aspx?cid=5d8089d6a28844e9&resid=5D8089D6A28844E9!5637&parid=5D8089D6A28844E9!5493&authkey=!ADTxXGliZni05IY

  2. You also need to include what principles of design you are using into your concentration statement in your header.

  3. These are really cute photos of animals. I think the one that catches my attention most is of your dog with the yellow playground in the back and the one of the mouse. I might try to incorporate things that show the animals are domesticated, but other than that your pictures are good.
